Your Mind Matters Global, Inc

Your Mind Matters Global, Inc is a mental health non-profit with a mission is to make mental wellness accessible worldwide through self-care education, guided meditation experiences, and empowering conversations that inspire individuals and communities to prioritize their emotional well-being.

I founded Your Mind Matters Global in 2017, during the “Me Too” movement. I was a new licensed psychotherapist, and I remembered being so proud of the women who came forward and put words to their experiences and the trauma they endured. At the same time, I was taken aback by the number of women who came forward then and continue to come forward today. I wondered, “what’s next for us?” “Where are our healing spaces?” So, I decided to take everything I’ve learned and continue to learn as a therapist to help create more safe spaces for everyone, especially women.

Since 2017, I’ve facilitated self-care panels all over the world for women, and for everyone free to the public because I believe in making mental health resources accessible to all. I’ve been so lucky to partner with wellness brands who are also dedicated to healing and wellness and panelists from all walks of life to share their stories, and self-care tips and lessons to help our audience, including safety tips shared by my colleague, Lt. Childs, a female police officer. We create safe spaces together where our attendees also get to share their stories and support one another, followed by my guided meditations that even has the opportunity to lead at Miss Universe before our sashing ceremony with over 100 of my sisters from all over the world, united by one thing: to ground together.

I’ve had the opportunity to expand my work to children, and teaching them about mindfulness: breathwork, meditation, emotional regulation, and learn the signs on when and how to ask help for themselves and others. I want to send the message that asking for help makes us brave, and we’re worth being shown up for.
